The Payanti Program
Our Payanti & Cultural Immersion Program offers an introduction to the Jakon Rate path and lineage, weaving traditional plant medicine ceremonies with self-reflection and community connection through family-led cultural workshops and plant treatments.
The Samá Program
For those interested in a deeper immersion into this lineage and tradition, samá (or “dieta”) is the traditional spiritual and therapeutic practice involving isolation and abstention while making an intentional energetic connection with the spirit of a specific plant.

Private Retreats
Occasionally throughout the year, we will host group retreats on the land. These retreats are held by students of Yoxan Manuela & Yoxan Robertina, and are curated differently than those offered through Jakon Rate’s general programming. If you’d like to take part in any group retreat listed, contact us and we will put you in touch with the leading facilitators. Please note that group retreat prices will most likely be higher than our normal Jakon Rate prices listed below, due to the value added when coming in a group setting and container.
Host a Private Retreat at Jakon Rate
We offer the possibility for aligned group leaders to bring their community for a private retreat at Jakon Rate. To explore the possibility of bringing your group, email us to begin a conversation with our team.
All Programs Include
- Accommodation in one of our secluded, individualized tambos
- Simple, healthy meals throughout your stay (see FAQ for details)
- Traditional Shipibo-Konibo plant medicine ceremonies three times a week
- Intimate group sizes (maximum capacity of 12 guests)
- Transportation to and from our center from any location in Pucallpa
- Consultation with Yoxán Manuela or Yoxán Robi and facilitators before your diet, as well as throughout, per request.
- On-site facilitation support at any time throughout your stay
- A 1:1 Preparation Session to help you ground, set intentions, and prepare for your stay
- A 1:1 Integration Session to support you in transitioning home after you leave
- The program begins with a stomach cleansing purgative at sunrise and then an energetically cleansing and invigorating floral bath at noon, followed by the first healing ceremony at night.
Registration Notes
Once you select your program above, you will be guided to begin your registration, which involves a screening, assessment, and preparation process. This process includes filling out a questionnaire, having an introductory phone call, making an exchange deposit, and scheduling a preparation session.
Once screening and assessment is complete, we require a 50% deposit of the full exchange upfront to reserve your spot. The remainder of your exchange will be due 2 weeks before your arrival date. We will not ask for any deposits whatsoever (and highly recommend that you do not purchase plane tickets) until your assessment is complete and you are fully confirmed in the program.
